Do I need to be a full-time professional to get CPS membership?
You need to be earning the majority of your income through photography or cinematography in Australia – whether you are an employed professional or you own your own imaging business. As pros, we know you need the highest level of service, availability of loan equipment and speedy repairs. CPS membership is restricted to those working heavily in the industry so we can maintain the high standards that you need as pros.

However, members accept that sometimes repairs can take longer in some circumstances such as where there is extraordinary demand, the parts must be ordered, or the repair is significant.

#Products that have been disocontinued for sale are available for repair support loans only.
CPS benefits apply in addition to any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law contained in the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 or under an express warranty.

Is Canon product purchased overseas eligible for CPS support?
We only offer CPS benefits (such as repair discounts, priority turnaround times and sensor cleans) on products distributed by Canon Australia via its Canon Store or its authorised Canon Australia retailers. Canon-branded products that are sourced from any source other than through Canon Australia’s official Canon Store or from an authorised Canon Australia retailer in the Canon Australia distribution channel (including ‘grey’, ‘parallel’ or ‘direct’ imports) are not supported and will not be counted towards your eligibility requirements. If you are unsure, ask your retailer if it’s an authorised Canon Australia retailer or you can contact Canon for more information.

Do I have to pay for shipping?
When you are accessing CPS membership benefits, Canon will cover at least one-way shipping for all CPS members anywhere outside of Sydney or Melbourne metropolitan area. Of course, members are also welcome to drop off and collect products when accessing services like sensor cleans or loans to CPS drop off points across the country.

How do I cancel my membership?
We’re sorry to hear you want to go, but if that’s the case, then you can cancel your membership by navigating to Membership from My Account. Please be aware that you will only receive a refund of your annual membership fee if you cancel within 14 days of renewing or joining. You can also contact CPS at canonprofessionalservices@canon.com.au to cancel.

Why do I have to agree to auto-renewal payments?
We understand that you’re super busy and don't want you to have to re-enter your details each month. So payments are set up to come out automatically. This also ensures you receive your membership benefits uninterrupted. If you decide to opt out of automatic renewals, you will need to cancel your CPS membership by following the steps detailed in the point above.

What is the difference between ‘eligible’ and ‘supported’ products?
Eligible products are those which qualify towards your CPS membership level. Member benefits also apply for eligible products, Supported products do not qualify towards your CPS membership level, however member benefits do apply for supported products.
